Creating a Website: Fashion Design

Today I'm starting to create my website on Wix. The website will be according to my progression route, fashion design. On wix, I started by choosing the template that i liked. I love the structure and color palette of the template below, so i decided to use this template as my website.

Next I customize the navigation menu by clicking 'manage menu' to add home, portfolio, about and contact button on the header. To customize the navigation design i clicked 'edit design' and choose the one that i like. Once I was happy with how the navigation bar turn out, I then add my name and my progression route on the header by adding 'text' and choose 'header 1' and customize the font as well as the size to fit in the middle of the top section. For my name, the text size is 34 and 18 for my progression route text. I decided to use one similar font for my website which is 'Cormorant Garamond Light'.

Next, I change the background image to match my progression route. I clicked on the image i wanted to customize and press 'change background', 'image', 'media from Wix'. I choose an image related to fashion design to put on my home section. To adjust the size I clicked 'crop and extend' and crop the image to fit better on the frame.

This is how my header look so far. I will replace the images with my own artwork and add copyright text on my footer column.

I saved all my changes by clicking ' save' on right top of the corner and I preview the website by pressing 'preview' to check how the section looked if it's viewed by readers. The template isn't finish customized, I will add all the necessary sections and adjust the design to fit my concept. I will use this website to post my project throughout the term.

Now, I'm going to edit the mobile view of my website. This is the page before i i customize to fit the mobile frame. I align the text header to the middle top and drag the socials icon to the left top of the header. For the image, I will change it to own artwork.

This is the mobile view of the home page after I done edited the header.
