Smart Objective: Berkain

For my fashion design project, I will create a design ready-to-wear spring summer collection to promote 'berkain' campaign. This project will be focusing on turning Indonesian traditional clothing into a modern couture design. For this collection, I will be creating six design with floral embroidery pattern and vibrant summer colour as the main concept . The target client for my collection is women between the age range of 18 until 25 years old.
There are several specific materials that I will be using on my design that's inspired by Indonesian traditional clothing which are tenun (Indonesian woven fabric), batik (patterned textiles created with a dyeing technique using wax resist) and brocade fabric. My collection will have a youthful yet elegance style with mostly A and Y-line silhouette. The final design collection will be in the form of digital flipbook where I'm going to include customer profile, inspiration, trend board, collection overview. I will be using Procreate to create my digital design and Canva to create the portfolio template. This project will be completed by the deadline at the beginning of December.
