Production: Sketch of the Collection

Before jumping right into creating my 6 designs collection on procreate, I first sketch my design on paper and make sure the design is final and match my preference.

Then, I create my colour palette for the collection on procreate from several picture inspiration related to my concept.

There are quite a view choices of colour that I wanted to include, but once I finalize the palette that I will be using on my collection, I then move on to gather the fabric and pattern in the coordinating colour palette as a material for my design.

The next step is to scan the sketch I made on paper and transfer it to procreate to add color and ensure that every piece connected and match as a collection. There are several mistake that I made during this part. First, because at the beginning I started sketching each design on separate paper, which the end makes the other design unconnected and looks like a separate piece not a collection. Second, I should not use too many pattern option because it will just makes each design more different with one another. As this was my second time designing a collection, I still need to explore and experiment more to create better collection in the future. Although there's still a lot of mistakes and improvement to make from this project, but from here, I learn a lot of new experiences.

  1. On the sketches it would be good if you could use a fashion glossary and explain in fashion terms the outfit you have created - i.e. I have created slim fit flared trousers with an asymetrical style long v-neck t-shirt style top with flared short sleeves.
