Trend Research: Menswear SS25
Baggy pants
Y2k fashion style made an appearance in 2025 with slouchier heel-length pants. Fitted joggers are out of style with most pant now have seams spill over their footwear. In the 2025 SS runway like Sacai, Giorgio Armani and Kenzo, it's noticeable that most of these baggy pants are simple, sleek and coordinate with the top colour.

Relaxed Banker's Suit
Suit has always been a staple piece of the male fashion that appears every year, but in 2025 this clothing piece are worn more casually. Relaxed fit became the key concept of SS25 fashion. Giorgio Armani paired this suit unbuttoned with v-neck vest and baggy trouser. At Zegna, they play with neutral-bright colour to make the office attire, which added elegance and exclusive impression.

Field-style outerwear
Another clothing piece that makes an appearance in the 2025 Menswear runway is the layer-friendly outer, field jacket; that is worn either casually or in street-style looks like at Kenzo where it was paired with loose shirt and similar-color cargo pants. While at The Row, it was style as denim-on-denim. "Be it Barbour, barn or bomber jackets, earth-toned coats inspired by workwear and military gear will continue to draw above-average attention" (Migowski, 2025).
Another perfect piece for 2025's trends of embracing workwear into casual look is these vest. Both Kenzo and Wales Bonner style utility vest simply with similar colour pants showing that fashion styling doesn't always center in exaggerated layering or multi-coloring. The row takes a different approach with the vest, layering it with white shirt and loose trouser for the relaxed office look.

Belt
"Women have long known that a belt's ability to keep pants from crashing to the ground is the least of its benefits. In 2025, guys will finally see belts as something closer to jewellery – a fancy flourish on par with an icy necklace, wild sunglasses, or new shoes" (Ortiz, 2015)

"For summer 2025, shorts are strong contenders, ranging from swimwear-like versions in light cotton or nylon to more formal, intricately tailored wide cuts" (babble-up, 2024). At Kenzo, this denim knee-length pants are paired with street-style red varsity and white sneakers. While at Dries Van Noten, pairing it with slipper makes an interesting way of styling short pants with smart outerwear.
Summing up the SS 2025 menswear trend, this season's men embraces a wardrobe combining comfort, functionality in a sleek and straight-forward designs. This style includes relaxed fit suits, v-neckline, utility outer, airy shirts and baggy or loose fit trousers. It is also noticeable that the colour palette of SS25 is monochromatic palette with single-color tops and bottom mostly in subtle and neutral tones like khaki, green, yellow-beige as well as dark color like brown, grey and the eternal color, black.
